Island Peak
Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse,
is one of the popular trekking peaks in Himalayan range. Eric
Shipton’s party named Island Peak during their expedition
of the Barun Gorge in 1952. The interesting and attractive
summit is raised from the Lhotse Glacier at the west. The
ridge rising from the south leads to the summit of Island
Peak. Island Peak does not only provide an enjoyable climb
but also provide some of the most spectacular sceneries of
Himalayas in the Khumbu region. It is a moderate climb with
the peak height of 6165m. You can have the perfect view over
Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu and Mt. Amadablam etc.
