Mera peak

Mera Peak lies between the relatively inhabited Hinku and Hongu valleys. The peak is located at the south of Mt Everest and dominates the watershed between the wild and heavily wooded valleys, and is considered as one of the major and popular trekking peaks in Nepal.

J.O.M. Roberts and Sen Tenzing made the first ascent of Mera peak on 20 May 1953. The route then became the standard one to Mera peak now.
