Pisang Peak
Pisang Peak is located at the north
of Pokhara, on the famous Annapurna Circuit route. Pisang
Peak rises above the Pisang village and yak pastures in a
uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit pyramid.
The peak is made up of steeply tilted rock with great rock
slabs down the valley. Pisang peak is considered as one of
the easiest climbing peaks offered in Nepal. From Pisang village,
a path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to Kharka at
4,380m which is considered to be the best place for setting
up the base camp. A higher camp can also be set up at 5,400m.
After the completion of this fantastic climb, we will head
to the Jomosom by crossing Thorong La (5415 m). From there
we can either fly back to Pokhara or walk along the Kali Gandaki
River.
