Royal Chitwan National Park
The
Royal Chitwan National Park, situated 165 km overland or 25
minutes by air to the southwest of Katmandu, is one of the
richest safari destinations in Asia. Spread over an area of
932 sq. km, it offers a unique ecosystem encompassing hills,
ox-bow lakes, flood plains, tall grasslands and thick jungles
dominated by Sal trees (Shorea Robust). Chitwan is home to
more than 40 species of wild animals, many of which are rare
and endangered. They include the One-Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal
Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, Wild Elephant, Four-Horned Antelope,
Striped Hyena and the Gangetic Dolphin. Over 450 species of
birds like the Bengal Florican, Giant Hornbill, Sarus Crane,
the Racket-Tailed Drongo and other exotic varieties delight
bird watchers. Jungle activities include sightseeing on elephant-back,
canoe rides on the rivers, jeep drives, jungle walks and village
tours.

Day1: On your arrival
at Chitrasari, hotel staff will receive you. You will be transferred
to Resort where you will be offered refreshments & be
given a briefing on resort & its facilities. After being
given your programmed for the day, your room will then be
allocated.
13:00 - Lunch.
14:30 - Elephant briefing & bathing.
15:00 - Elephant safari, an excellent opportunity to see four
different kind of dear, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkeys, leopard,
sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal tiger you will also encounter
many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.
19.00 - Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you can also
participate in) by the local villagers or a slide show presentation
on almost everything under the Chitwan.
20:00 - Dinner
Day 2:
05:30 - Wake up call.
06:00 - Tea/coffee followed by nature walk. An excellent Opportunity
to see a great many of those 524 different species of birds
found in Chitwan.
07:30 - Breakfast.
09:00 - Canoe ride along the Rapti flyer An excellent opportunity
for bird watching and for
seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles the Marsh Mugger and
the fish eating Gharial.

Day 1: On your arrival

15.00 - Visit to the National Park Visitor's center where
you can learn more about the history of the National Park
and about wildlife.
16:00 - Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where
you will learn more about the lifestyles of the Tharu.
20.00 - Dinner.
Day 2:
06.00 - Wake up call with warm tea or coffee.
07.30 – Hot breakfast.
09.00 - Canoe ride along the Rapti river. An excellent opportunity
far bird watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles;
the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial then they would
take you to real nature walk with different types vegetation
to see many different types of flora and fauna.
12.00 –Before lunch you can take a leisurely swim or relax
by the poolside. You can also spend the time before lunch
to gaze at the fishes found in Chitwan in your own fish pond
or play a game of tennis or billiards with your friends or
just spend a few quiet moments in our library with a book.
You can even let your children play by themselves in our children‘s
playground. Your choices are limitless.

bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (if you are lucky). You will

Chitwan.

Day 3:

watching.

11:00 - Back to our Resort where you can spend time at leisure.
13:00 - Lunch.
15:00 - Jungle Drive through the grasslands, riverine forests
and sal forests to Kasara (the National Park’s head quarters)
Gharial hatchery farm where you will learn about how crocodiles
are brought up at this farm & then later released into
the rivers.
20:00 - Dinner.
Day 4:
06:00 - Wake up call with warm tea/coffee
06:30 – Take you to the elephant breading center to see baby
elephant and bird watching around there.
08:30 - Breakfast.
09:00 - Departure for onward journey.
