Arun valley Trekking - 16 Days
The
Arun valley provides really superb views of both Mt Everest
and Makalu. It is located between the Sagarmatha and Makalu-Barun
National Parks. This area is one with the largest varieties
of different flowers, trees, wild life and the habitat of
420 species of colorful birds. Several of these species are
endangered ones. The most favorable season for visiting this
area is around September to November and March/April. . The
Arun Valley is also an unimaginable area and it is famous
for both the culture and nature. This area is a naturalist's
paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, birds
and is a significant part of the Himalayan environment and
ecosystem. Leaving the valley we have some challenging days
as we used rarely trodden trails through some of Nepals most
beautiful forests. The passes offer tremendous views of Mera
peak & Chamlang from this spectacular wilderness we enter
the Dudh Koshi valley & head north to our final destination.
Start from: Hile,
20 hours bus drive from Katmandu, or Tumlingtar - 45 minutes
flying from Katmandu.
Cultural: Buddhism & Hinduism.
Access elevation: Salpa pass 3700 m.
Grade: moderate & challenging
Mountain escape: Mt. Everest, Makalu, Chamlang,
Baruntse, Melungtse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Pumori, Tower Peak,
Mera Peak, Kusum Kanggru, Kanchanjunga etc
Ending point: Lukla, 35 minutes flight to
ktm or jiri full day bus drive to Kathmandu.

bus to Hille stay at hille.
