Dhaulagiri Trekking

Dhaulagiri (8,167m) is the seventh highest peak in the world; which is one of the most popular above 8000m peaks for climbing in Nepal. This is a relatively not that easy but extremely interesting trek. We recommend it for those wanting to get away from the more popular Annapurna and Everest. It's a long difficult trek around Dhaulagiri. Starting from Pokhara the trail leads north west up the Kali Gandaki river valley staying on the river’s right bank through Beni and Tatopani. Continuing from Tatopani through Phidi and Dhorpaten to Muri then head north along the left bank to cross the Myagdiglacier and the Dhaulagiri B.c. [4750mt]. Approaching the French pass [5360mt], between the submits of Tukuche peak and Mukut Himal. Through out the colossal Peaks of the Dhaulagiri range surround. Crossing the French pass [the highest point on trek] Come out into the hidden valley. From here swing southeast along the trail leading to Dhampus pass, Between Tukuche and Thapa peak. Descending from Dhampus pass reach to the village of Tukuche on route to Jomsom and Mukti nath.
