Everest Trekking

The famous trek from Jiri to the base of the Mount Everest is the classic trek in Nepal. This trek to the Everest area features the culture of the Sherpas along with great views of Mt. Everest and many other Himalayan peaks. The trek takes you through the paths trodden by Sir Edmund Hillary. Your Sherpas on the trek are the spiritual descendants of Tenzing Norgay who along with Hillary was the first team climbed up to the world's highest mountain. This area lies in the Sagarmatha Nationa Park. Sagarmatha National Park was established in 1976, which covers much of the region. This fascinating land surrounded by high mountains is a real paradise for mountaineers and trekkers.

Start from: Jiri, full day drive from Katmandu.
Cultural: Buddhism [sherpa] Buddhist monasteries & Hinduism.
Max. Altitude: Kalapather - 5545 m.
Grade: Moderate & Challenging
Mountains: Number Himal, kwangde. Gaurishankar, Amadablam. Mt Everest, khumbu range, pumori and Rolwaling range etc.
Ending point: Lukla, Flight to Katmandu.
Possibility: Camping & tea house both possible.

Day 08 Kharikhola – Surke
Day 09 surke – Phalding
Day 10 Phakding – Namche
Day 11 Namche Rest acclimatization
Day 12 Namche–Tengboche
Day 13 Tengboche – Dingboche
Day 14 Dingboche Rest
Day 15 Dingboche – Lobuche
Day 16 Lobuche- Kalapattar and - back to Lobuche
Day 17 Lobuche – Pangboche
Day 18 Pangboche–Namche
Day 19 Namche – Phakding
Day 20 Phakding - Lukla
Day 21 Lukla - Katmandu by fly.
